BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Bhuvan Chugh is a Medical Oncologist and clinical leader known for clear, evidence-based treatment planning and for guiding patients confidently through complex cancer decisions. His primary areas of clinical focus are Breast and Thoracic cancers.

Dr. Chugh practices precision-led cancer care, using genomic testing when it can meaningfully change treatment direction. His work includes innovative applications of advanced molecular diagnostics in challenging scenarios, including CSF-based genomic sequencing–guided management in EGFR-mutant lung cancer with leptomeningeal disease (presented at ALKlinic 2025; published in the Journal of Liquid Biopsy). He served as Past Convenor of the Max Healthcare–Foundation Medicine India Molecular Tumor Board and is known for contributing to complex multidisciplinary decision-making across multiple disease-site tumor boards.

He previously served as Principal Consultant, Medical Oncology at Max Super Specialty Hospital (Saket and Gurugram) and as Clinical Lead, Medical Oncology at Max Hospital, Gurugram, where he built and matured medical oncology services from a nascent day-care setup into a comprehensive, protocol-driven program with strong multidisciplinary coordination.

He earlier worked as a consultant at Medanta, The Medicity (Gurugram) in the Department of Medical Oncology & Hematology after completing his DNB (Medical Oncology), gaining extensive experience managing a wide spectrum of complex cancers in a high-volume tertiary-care setting.

He has presented his work at ASCO and ESMO through multiple abstracts and posters, and is joining Apollo Hospitals (Delhi–NCR network) as Lead Consultant, Medical Oncology, focused on patient-first care that blends evidence-based protocols, multidisciplinary expertise, and precision diagnostics—so patients and families can make decisions with clarity and confidence.
