Holter Monitoring

A Holter screen is a little outside gadget that persistently records the heart’s rhythms. The monitor is worn for 24 – 48 hours during normal activity. Holter checking is utilized to decide how the heart reacts to ordinary action.

ABP Monitoring

ABPM Measures Blood Pressure at regular intervals. It is believed to be able to reduce the white coat hypertension effect in which a patient’s blood pressure is elevated during the examination process due to nervousness and anxiety caused by being in a clinical setting. Out-of-office measurements are highly recommended as an adjunct to office measurements by almost all hypertension organizations.

Before the Test

1. Wear Loose-Fitting Clothes
Loose-fitting clothing, such as a button-up shirt/tops, is best for easy placement of the device and easier carrying.

2. Avoid Using Any Lotion/Oil

  • Do not use any body cream, oil, or powder on your chest.

  • Clean, dry skin helps electrodes stick properly.

3. Take a Shower in Advance
You will not be able to bathe or shower during the test. Take a bath before your appointment.

4. Shave Chest Hair (if needed)
In some cases, small areas of chest hair may be shaved. This ensures proper electrode attachment.

During the Test

1. Continue Your Normal Routine.

2. Follow your regular daily activities.

3. This helps capture real-life heart patterns

4. Maintain a Symptom Diary: Note the time of any symptoms, such as

5. Palpitations.

2. If a lead becomes loose, contact your doctor.

3. Do not put pressure on the device and sleep in a normal position.

4. After the test, please return the device per instructions.

5. A specialist will evaluate and review your recordings.

6. You will receive an explanation of the results from your doctor and guidance on subsequent treatment.

Proper preparation assists in an accurate assessment of the patient's heart rhythm problems (if they exist), thus allowing for the most effective and appropriate treatment on time.

Holter Monitoring is used to detect irregular heart rhythms and monitor heart activity over 24–48 hours.

An ECG records heart activity for a few seconds; On the other hand, Holter Monitoring records constantly for 24–48 hours.

Sleep normally on your back or side, keeping the device secure and avoiding pressure on the wires.

Most devices show a blinking light or indicator; your technician will confirm proper functioning when fitted.

Wear loose, comfortable clothes like button-down shirts to easily accommodate the device.
